Laura is the founder and creative director behind Novaliss, a brand built around individuality, customisation and storytelling.
Novaliss first began as a couture bridal brand with non-traditional designs. The idea also came from something personal. Mass market clothing could not express Laura’s personality, fit her body properly or feel right on the skin.
With a fine art background of more than 20 years and degrees in art, design and fashion, Laura’s work moves between visual storytelling, hand-led craftsmanship and body architecture.
After graduating in fashion design in Barcelona with a Westminster B.A. diploma in 2024, she launched Novaliss in the same year. Her graduate collection The Last Lunar Dance has been shown through fashion platforms in Barcelona, Riga, Paris, Milan and London Graduate Fashion Week.
Born an artist, working as a designer
Laura has always been connected to art. Drawing classes, art schools and creative practice eventually led her to fashion, where she describes herself as both a multi-artist and a designer.
Her approach to Novaliss is based on unconventional silhouettes, unexpected materials and details that make the wearer feel like a dreamer or a rebel.

Novaliss works with clients through several design paths. Some pieces are created entirely from the beginning. Others are made from existing Novaliss collections with selected personal adjustments where possible.

Every bespoke creation begins before production
Bespoke commissions are not priced like existing collection pieces. Before production begins, each original project needs creative development, research, consultation, sketches, materials and planning.
Research, consultations, sketching, concept development and planning. This is the intellectual and artistic work behind the design.
Once the design is approved, production is quoted based on the garment type, materials, construction, handwork, embellishments and finishing.
Some projects may require styling, fabric sourcing, creative direction, travel, rush production, additional fittings or on-site designer attendance.
All prices are starting prices. A final quotation is prepared after consultation and depends on the complexity of the project.

One of the reasons Novaliss exists is simple. Clothes should not force a person to disappear inside someone else’s standard.

Details are part of the design, not decoration
Every Novaliss piece begins with material choices, texture and construction.
Fabrics, yarns, trims, finishes and hand-led details are selected according to the project, the client and the intended use of the piece.
A clear process for a personal result
A Novaliss commission may begin with a wedding idea, a performance, a public event, a wardrobe need or a single item the client cannot find anywhere else.
We discuss the project, purpose, body shape, personal style, timeline, materials, budget and expectations.
A visual direction is developed, including mood, silhouette, fabric ideas, details and the overall feeling of the piece.
Sketches, fabric sourcing and material research are prepared where needed. These creative development stages are separate from production.
After the design and materials are confirmed, the final production price is calculated based on complexity, handwork, fittings and finishing.
The piece is produced, fitted when required, finished, checked and prepared for delivery.

What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-order?
Bespoke work begins with a personal concept created for one client. Made-to-order pieces are existing Novaliss designs produced after the order is placed, with selected adjustments where possible.
How does a private couture request begin?
It begins with a consultation. We discuss the occasion, body shape, personal style, references, timeline, budget and the direction of the piece.
Why is creative development priced separately?
Original bespoke work begins before production. Research, concept development, sketches, fabric direction and planning are part of the design process.
Can Novaliss work with international clients?
Yes. Private requests may begin online. Depending on the project, consultations, measurements, fittings and delivery can be planned for clients outside Latvia.
Does Novaliss create bridal pieces only?
No. Novaliss also creates stage wear, red carpet garments, capsule wardrobe projects, private bespoke orders, styling and made-to-order collection pieces.
How long does a bespoke piece take?
The timeline depends on the complexity of the project, materials, fittings, handwork and deadline. Bridal, stage and red carpet projects should be discussed as early as possible.
